Israel and the 1967 State Lines

This is only an issue whenever someone needs one.
Notice the date.
Seems like everyone is leaving out the part about "Mutually Agreed Upon Land Swaps" starting with the 1967 lines as a base line.
You have to start somewhere, if you want to get anywhere.

Prime Minister of Israel and The Office of the Secretary of State of The United States

Joint Statement of the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel and The Office of the Secretary of State of The United States

Begin Text
‪‪Prime Minister Netanyahu and Secretary Clinton had a good discussion today, with a friendly and productive exchange of views on both sides. Secretary Clinton reiterated the United States' unshakable commitment to Israel's security and to peace in the region.
‪‪The Prime Minister and the Secretary agreed on the importance of continuing direct negotiations to achieve our goals. The Secretary reiterated that "the United States believes that through good-faith negotiations, the parties can mutually agree on an outcome which ends the conflict and reconciles the Palestinian goal of an independent and viable state, based on the 1967 lines, with agreed swaps, and the Israeli goal of a Jewish state with secure and recognized borders that reflect subsequent developments and meet Israeli security requirements." Those requirements will be fully taken into account in any future peace agreement.
‪‪‪The discussions between the Prime Minister and the Secretary focused on creating the conditions for the resumption of direct negotiations aimed at producing a two-state solution. Their teams will work closely together in the coming days toward that end.

1. When we hate the opposition we always purposely take what they say out of context if possible. SO, as soon as our dear leader says 1967 borders we run with that.
Happened to Bush, oh, remember Trent Lott, Al Gore inventing the internet, and so on. I'm getting a bit tired of it. There are real issues to worry about.

2. Of course we know in our heart of hearts that Our Dear Leader sides with the PLO cause that's what he learned in college years ago.

3. It would appear that the Palestinians spend most of their time yelling, blowing themselves up, shooting rockets at Israel school buses, and dancing in the streets when people die. On the other hand people in Israel live regular lives, build things, farm, do normal stuff, even though all the neighbors want to blow them up. Old school folks tend to lean towards the normal people. The New generation thinks that means oppression.

Budde, I can see your side. But they will have no peace if they can't start talking. Israel continues building settlements and then saying they want that land also. It's a 2 headed dragon. Maybe if they were all gone, it could be repopulated with peaceful folks.
