Time for Another Post aka, Write Something Bobby Before Everyone Thinks You Went Away.

Well it's pouring down rain here. Was thinking that this might be a good time to say hello again and to sheepishly try to  apologize for not writing more.
Then I thought I should put these thoughts on paper, but no one reads the papers I write, so that would be a waste.
Then I decided that I was gonna catch up on my blog reading, cuz reading is a whole lot easier than writing. This led to about a day lost in the web, meeting new friends and learning about a few I will avoid. There are some really foolish people out there. Or it could just be me.
I usually start on one of the blogs that I follow, then at the top where it say's "Next Blog" or go to or something like that, I'll click that, and I'm off on my trip around the world. The ones I like, I follow, the other, I'll hit the "Go Back a Page" button thingy and head into another direction.
Now some of these folks haven't posted in ages, but I befriended them any way. Don't want any lonely blogs out there. So you may see some new blogs posting updates here. They are a very diverse group and some of them are quite deep.
All in all, it seemed like a loss of time, but sometimes time is all you can give to your friends.
And it was interesting and gave me something to write about.

Animal Issue

Saw this on face-book today. It really saddens me that there are people in the world that abuse their animals. I'm not saying all animals are equal, but if you have a pet you should to take care of that pet.
By the way, Budde, those that look after neurotic/mental animals are the best kind of owners.
Here it is...
I died today. You got tired of me and took me to the shelter. They were overcrowded and I drew an unlucky number. I am in a black plastic bag in a landfill now. Some other puppy will get the barely used leash you left. My collar was dirty and too small, but the lady took it off before she sent me to the Rainbow Bridge . Would I still be at home if I hadn’t chewed your shoe? I didn’t know what it was, but it was leather, and it was on the floor. I was just playing. You forgot to get puppy toys. Would I still be at home if I had been housebroken? Rubbing my nose in what I did only made me ashamed that I had to go at all. There are books and obedience teachers that would have taught you how to teach me to go to the door. Would I still be at home if I hadn’t brought fleas into the house? Without anti-flea medicine, I couldn’t get them off of me after you left me in the yard for days. Would I still be at home if I hadn’t barked? I was only saying, “I’m scared, I’m lonely, I’m here, I’m here! I want to be your best friend.” Would I still be at home if I had made you happy? Hitting me didn’t make me learn how. Would I still be at home if you had taken the time to care for me and to teach manners to me? You didn’t pay attention to me after the first week or so, but I spent all my time waiting for you to love me. I died today. Love, Your Puppy

***Please forward this to everyone, its time to stop animal abuse***

Is this a catchy headline?

I haven't been here for awhile, so I don't know where to start or where I'll end up.
I knew where I was going in life earlier before circumstances dictated change. I am at a standstill as to moving forward toward my goals.
One of my goals was to be able to be able to live within my means on my retirement income. That was quickly nipped in the bud when Katrina came to visit and we had to rebuild our house. The house when up without much of a problem, but then the insurance company decided to raise rates.
They have done this yearly. A minor wind claim and now they don't have wind policy. Now we have wind and flood insurance through govt underwriting programs.
Why can't there be One "All Peril" insurance group. One that would cover hurricanes, winds, rain, flood, tornadoes, sink holes, and and earth quakes. If the risks could be spread amongst more people, then the rates would be more affordable.
Oh my, there goes my blood pressure.
I'll get into more of my goals later as there have been set-backs on them all. But being alive, I have little choice but to keep plugging away.
There will be better times. There are silver linings. The New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl once, so I guess  pigs can fly and hell can freeze over.
That it for now, except to come up with a catchy headline.
