Well it's that time again. Time to sit at the keyboard and try to see what I can come up with.
Read somewhere that Israel traded about a thousand of prisoners for just one soldier. He must have been a pretty special soldier to be worth so much. Or are the prisoners just not worth that much at all. So now the ex-prisoners can renew their vows to their cause. Let the killing begin.
Went to the garage a looked over my old Pontiac. It a 1970 GTO Judge convertible. It went thru the Katrina Flood and some how is going to get put back together. It was in a garage before the hurricane and when then garage went it carried the roof for awhile. It needs a total restoration. If it weren't so rare, I'd just buy something else and be happy. I started tearing it apart after I got it in it's new garage. Spraying everywhere I could get to with rust preventative. I've got it almost torn down. Still have to get the interior out. Got me a welder lined up, don't know really how good he is, but he has welded exhaust pipe for me that hasn't fallen off.
Mother in law got back from the hospital today. Clean bill of health. Except for the illness. And the personality. At least everything is new for her. I just wish she had better shorter memory. It puts a strain on the wife seeing her mother like this. Being a 24 hour a day caregiver. Going day by day, one step closer to not being known.
My mother had Alzheimer's. Nothing is so hard as seeing her and her not knowing who I was.
Well, time to go.
Will write more later.

Getting Lost In The Web
Well I thought this was going to be another good week. Had a start on this post about an hour ago and hit a wrong key somewhere and I lost it all.
That would never have happened on my Royal.
I had a good day following some of the other blogs. I try to go through them daily, but some days are better than others. Some of the comments stir up more memories than the posts themselves.
One comment about the Ozark Mountain Daredevils got me stuck in the web for quit a bit. You see they were one of the first concerts I went to when I was a boy. You know, back when dirt was born. Up at Boulder, Co. Some college. Sat in the balcony with a great view of the band. Someone would hand you something, you'd sample it and pass it on. A good time was had by all.
Those were the simpler days. Days where you had very few obligations and you knew there was a whole new world out there for you to explore.
After listening to some of their songs again on you tube, I had to look up some other bands that I had listened to back then.
One of them was Poco. They were a bit different than I remembered. My head was probably not in the same frame/time zone. Then I had to look up Angel. They were about the same as before. LOUD! After a bit of them there was only one place to go.
You guessed it, Frank Zappa. Had to listen to a piece called Punkys Whips. About Punky Meadows of the group Angel. Not as good as his Don't Eat The Yellow Snow song, but still quite entertaining.
And so life goes. Work, sleep, following blogs and getting lost in the web.
Glad I found my way back. There's strange stuff out there.
